The Trekking Vietnam Central Highlands Tour is arranged in the central Vietnam, starting from Pleiku and finishes in Hoian. Vietnam’s Central Highlands region has slowly opened up to tourists over the past decade after years of government enforced travel restrictions and today foreigners can explore the main centres of this region with relative ease. Flight to the central highlands, Pleiku from either Hanoi or Saigon, you are brought to Kon tum where you trek through local hill tribe villages and war sites. Visit different dmz sites, spend the night at local home, meet up with ethnic people are such highlights of the 3 day tour.
Trekking Vietnam Central Highlands Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival PleiKu. Travel to Kon Tum.
Upon your arrival at Pleiku airport, you will be greeted by Lotussia Travel local guide and transferred to KonTum. Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Seminary, Wooden church and the villages of BahNar people: KonKlor II, KonJoRi and KonKoTu. Dinner in Rong house and enjoy Traditional Gong music, Xoang dance and drink local jar-wine. O/N at village.
Day 2: Transfer KonTum – Kham Duc (195 km)
After breakfast, we follow the Ho Chi Minh trail driving to DakGlei district. On the way to DakGlei, visit Phuong Hoang airfield (Phoenix airfield) in DakTo and DakRiPeng village (Se Dang people). Continue 10 km more to PleiCan base, tri-border area of (Vietnam-Lao-Cambodia), DakSeang airfield, DakPek. Lunch at DakGlei district. In the afternoon, we go northwards to KhamDuc district. On the way to Kham Duc, visit some villages of Gie Trieng people, sightseeing DakChe waterfall. Then cross the meandering and adventural “LoXo” pass to arrive at Kham Duc. Dinner. O/N at Kham Duc.
Day 3: Travel Kham Duc – Hoi An (140 km)
After breakfast, we leave Kham Duc for Hoi An. End of tour.
