Vietnam Hiking Camping is a collection of places where hiking and camping are available when you do a trekking tour in Vietnam.
The most popular places for camping are Vietnam national parks such as Cuc Phuong national park, Ba Be National park, Bac Ma national park. Therefore, it is not true that hiking is always available in any Vietnam National park.
Camping is also required when hiking or trekking several days in the jungle or through hill tribe villages. Many long trek tours in Sapa, Bac Ha and Ha giang areas need are arranged in combination with camping in tent.
Camping is also necessary for hiking Fansipan, in northern Vietnam.
When you book a hiking tour with your travel agents, they will let you know the places where camping will be arranged. Tents and camping equipments are in general provided by the local travel agent. The local travel agent (tour operators) usually have some porters when they arrange a hiking camping tour. The porters will have the responsibility of camping and bringing food, water before guest’s arrival.
Vietnam hiking camping should not be arranged in the rainy season. During this period, there is big rain. The weather is humid. This is not a ideal time for making a hiking camping in Vietnam.
The most important thing that you need to prepare before your departure is the food and medical kit. The places where hiking camping are available are usually far from the civilization. It will not be easy to find something that you forget to bring from home.
