Cao Bang is a mountainous province in the northeast Vietnam. The province is about 5 hours drive from Hanoi. Cao Bang Vietnam has been listed by the Singapore’s Skyscanner website among its Top 5 Unique Treks in South East Asia.
Cao Bang province is blessed with numerous mountains, caves and lakes, including the awe-inspiring Ban Gioc Waterfalls with its cascading turquoise waters, making it a wonderful region for hikers and trekkers.
Covering 6,724 square kilometres, the mountainous province of Cao Bang is now home to many Vietnam’s ethnic minority groups, including the Tay, Nung, Dao, San Chay and H’mong. Taking a hiking trip in Cao Bang, you will have the chance to stay at local home – homestay, and to experience the rich ethnic culture.
Besides, Cao Bang has several well-known historical interest sites and natural landscapes such as the Pac Po cave, Coi Bin Church and Ban Gioc Waterfalls.
Trekkers can go to Cao Bang by air starting from Hanoi and then getting buses to the province within five hours.
